We are pulling out all the stops for our sixth annual MALTED festival.
This year’s event is on Saturday, Nov. 9 with malty beers, chocolate, coffee, comedy, bands, ballet, and more.
There are limited edition malty beers being released all day, including Stout Junt, a collaboration with Philip Ashley Chocolates, brewed with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cloves, cinnamon, and chili peppers.
We will also unveil Memphis As Truck, a coffee stout brewed with French Truck Coffee. The coffee’s name is Kossa Geshe. It’s a naturally processed coffee with notes of strawberries and cream, milk chocolate, and marshmallow.
French Truck Coffee’s Head Roaster, Danny Shearer, will be onsite to pass out samples of the coffee that has been cold brewed just as it was before it was added to the beer so guests can taste the coffee separate from the beer. He will also be able to field questions about the coffee and the roasting process.
MALTED will also have the debut of new gear, a MEMPHIS AS TRUCK shirt designed by Dirty Cotton T-Shirt Company.
In addition to these collaborations, there will be Nut Remix, Drew’s Day Off, and more malty beers.
The doors open at 1 p.m., with the first 100 customers getting a free 16-ounce MALTED glass.
Relentless Breeze Will be on from 5-7 pm and Cassette Set will be on 3-4:30 pm. followed by stand up comedy by Comma Comedians at 7:30 p.m.
