We're excited to finally be an official stop on the Explore Bike Share network.
The non-profit organization has placed 60 stations with more than 600 bikes throughout Memphis.
We got our station stocked with bikes on May 23 as part of the city-wide Big Roll Out.
This is another step in increasing out commitment towards making Memphis a better city for cycling.
This is evidenced by earning a silver bike friendly business designation from The League of American Cyclists.
Before the tap room opened, we won a contest put on by the the city's then-new Bikeway and Pedestrian Program, getting our first bike rack. We followed that up by receiving a bike repair station near our parking lot.
This year, we sponsored and hosted Tour de Brewer 3 and the corresponding bike festival. We donated a portion of tap room beer sales that day to Revolutions Bicycle Co-Op. We've been a part of the Tour de Brewer since the first year and this was just ramping up our involvement.
We're also hosting educational programs by Revolutions, including their Bike Share 101 class on June 7 and their How to Ride in the Street class on June 29.
We look forward to seeing Memphis grow its bike and pedestrian infrastructure and how we can be a part of it.
