April is proving to be a busy time for us at Memphis Made, culminating in a spring beer party which will officially open our tap room on Saturdays (long overdue, we know).
We've released two new exclusive beers already: All Sewn Up for the Lucero Family Picnic and Luke McLuke for the Tennessee Brewery: the Revival.
Luke McLuke is an American Pale Ale named after a thoroughbred owned by John Schorr, one of the founders of the Tennessee Brewing Co. It's available at the Tennessee Brewery through late May.
All Sewn Up is an English Pale Ale which will be on tap at Madison Avenue Growler, Young Avenue Deli and our tap room leading up to the Lucero Family Picnic, held outside Minglewood Hall on Saturday, April 18.
That day is also the kicking off Memphis Beer Week. In addition to the Lucero Family Picnic, we'll be at the Memphis Brewfest at AutoZone Park. We'll also be participating in a beer dinner at Slider Inn on Wednesday, April 22.
Saturday, April 25 will be a busy and special day for us.
We're hosting Hopped, a spring beer party, at the brewery from noon to 9 p.m.
We'll have several new limited release beers while giving away Hopped pint glasses to the first 100 customers. Mighty Souls Brass Band, Goner Records, New Ballet Ensemble and Grassfire will be providing the music while Food Geek, Fresh Gulf Shrimp and Aldo's Pizza Pies will be providing the grub at this free event.
This event will officially kick off the tap room being open every Saturday with future expanded hours and days to come.
Finally, we'll top off Memphis Beer Week by attending Crafted, a high-end beer and food tasting at the Brooks Museum.
We hope to see you at one of these events. If not, we'll have a lot more options in May, another really busy month for us.
